Description
Acceptable Solution G10/AS1 provides a means of compliance with Building Code Clause F10 Piped Services.
Building Code Clause G10 Requires the safe distribution of hot, cold or toxic substances.
In buildings provided with potentially hazardous services containing hot, cold, flammable, corrosive or toxic fluids, this clause requires the installations to be constructed to provide adequate safety for people. This ensures piping systems must be constructed to avoid leaks or damage, contamination, adverse interaction between services and contact. Also that they are clearly identified.
Scope
This acceptable solution is restricted to the reticulation of gas (typically natural or town gas), used as an energy source. For water supply piping, an acceptable solution is given in G12/AS1.
