This Standards New Zealand Handbook sets out guidelines and requirements for masonry veneer exterior cladding in New Zealand.

All material in this Handbook is extracted from previously published New Zealand Standards - NZS 3604:1999, Section 11, NZS 4210:2001, Section 2; and NZS 4229:1999, Section 12.

This Standard does not specifically cover other forms of masonry nor the use of adhesives other than cement mortar between masonry units. Such forms of masonry construction are outside the scope of this Standard by reference to AS 3700.
