Description
The DIN colour chart is a systematic arrangement of colours selected from all the existing object colours. It is used as an aid for clearer understanding of colours and their practical application. and as illustrative material for teaching.
The selection of colours of the DIN colour chart is based on the DIN colour system for the 2° standard colorimetric observer (DIN 6164 Part 1) which has been devised specifically for this purpose. This Standard specifies which colours from the DIN colour system shall be included in the DIN colour chart and the requirements to be applied to such colour samples. In addition, this Standard specifies the requirements for other colour samples used in commercial practice and for which reference is made to this Standard.
