Description

This Standard specifies a flame atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of vanadium in steel and iron. The method is applicable to vanadium contents between 0,005 % (m/m) and 1,0 % (m/m), provided that the tungsten content in the test portion is not higher than 10 mg and/or the titanium content is not higher than 5 mg.

Scope

This Standard specifies a flame atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of vanadium content between 0.005 percent and 1.0 percent in steel. This standard is identical with and reproduced from ISO 9647:1989.
