Description
BS EN 287-1:2004 defines the qualification test of welders for the fusion welding of steels. Sharing a set of technical rules for a systematic qualification test of the welder, this standard ensures these qualifications are uniformly accepted – regardless of the type of product, location and examiner or examining body.
BS EN 287-1 places special emphasis on the welders’ ability to manually manipulate the electrode, welding torch or welding blowpipe to produce a weld of acceptable quality.
