Description
BS EN 1634-1 specifies a method for determining the fire resistance of door and shutter
Assemblies and openable windows designed for installation within openings incorporated in vertical separating elements, such as:
- Hinged and pivoted doors
- Horizontally sliding and vertically sliding doors including articulated sliding doors and sectional doors
- Folding doors, sliding folding doors /shutters
- Tilting doors
- Rolling shutter doors
- Openable windows
- Operable fabric curtains.
Scope
This standard defines the allowable changes to the test specimen following a successful fire resistance test. These variations can be applied automatically without the need for the sponsor to seek additional evaluation, calculation or approval.
It provides test conditions, specimens, and test procedures that will allow you to carry out the test effectively.
