Description

Part 3 of BS EN 10219 series specifies the technical delivery conditions for high strength and weather resistant electric welded and submerged arc welded cold formed steel structural hollow sections of circular, square, rectangular or elliptical forms and formed cold without subsequent heat treatment other than the heat treatment of the weld line.  

Scope

This part of this European Standard specifies technical delivery conditions for high strength and weather resistant electric welded and submerged arc welded cold formed steel structural hollow sections. 

It includes an increased range of steel grades. The user can select the grade most appropriate to the intended use and service conditions. 

It covers circular, square, rectangular or elliptical forms, which are formed cold without subsequent heat treatment other than the heat treatment of the weld line. 

It can be used to assist customers in a very wide range of applications and can also be used for product development and commercial issues.
