Description

This Standard establishes minimum safety requirements for the design, construction and operation of electrical and electronic equipment within the field of audio, video, information and communication technology, and business and office equipment.

It sets out requirements intended to ensure the safety of the operator and other people who may come into contact with the equipment (‘ordinary persons’) and, where specifically stated, maintenance and service personnel (‘instructed persons’ and ‘skilled persons’).

Adopted with national modifications from IEC 62368-1, Ed.2.0 (2014) and its Corrigendum 1 (2015).
