Description

This Standard sets out requirements and means of conformance for the design, installation and commissioning of gas installations that are associated with the use or intended use of fuel gases such as natural gas, LP Gas, or biogas.

Notes/comments

Please note that the 2013 edition of AS/NZS 5601.1:2013 remains in force as the means of complying with Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations 2010 and NZ Building Code clause G11 Gas as an energy source.
Designers and Gasfitters should use the 2013 edition of AS/NZS 5601.1 to comply until such time as the regulations are updated.
The use of the 2022 edition of AS/NZS 5601.1:2022 prior to being referenced as a means of compliance would need to form part of a certified design in accordance with the Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations 2010.
