Description
This Standard specifies requirements for formable and structural grades of hot-dipped zinc-coated and aluminium/zinc-coated sheet and strip, up to and including 5.0 mm thick. Gives information on coating thickness determination, fabricating characteristics and guidelines on the selection of specific grades.
Scope
This Standard specifies requirements for steel grades, coating classes and surface finish, as follows:
- (a) Three formability grades of steel.
- (b) Six structural grades of steel.
- (c) Six classes of zinc coating.
- (d) Two classes of zinc coating converted to zinc/iron alloy.
- (e) Two classes of aluminium/zinc alloy coating.
- (f) Surface finish.
