Description
This Standard specifies constructional requirements for water containers (shells) made of single materials, viz. plastics, copper or copper alloys, or stainless steel, but excluding low pressure water heaters with copper cylinders within the scope of NZS 4602. It gives recommendations on maximum water temperature and specifies routine and type test schedules.
Identical to AS 1056.2-1985 with modifications for New Zealand conditions. Cited in the Ministry's Simple House Acceptable Solution.
Scope
This Standard specifies requirements for water heaters with single shells made from the following:
- (a) plastics (for operation at a head not greater than 2 mH2O);
- (b) no-ferrous metal; and
- (c) stainless steel.
