This recognition notice shows which building products Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) recognises under the Approved Products Certified Overseas pathway.

Product type: Drinking Water Treatment Systems:

  • Water filters and water treatment appliances: Point of use (POU) and point of entry (POE) drinking water treatment systems for drinking water purposes including but not limited to; filters to reduce aesthetic impurities such as chlorine and taste/odour, and reduce a contaminant with a health effect, e.g. carbon filters, and ultraviolet treatment systems, and reverse osmosis systems, and treatment systems for emerging contaminants, e.g. pharmaceuticals or chemicals, and microbiological water purifiers.
  • Water conditioner: Metallic or plastic bodied in line or end of line water treatment devices for conditioning of water and prevention of scaling.
