(±ASTM D3462-1983) Specifies asphalt roofing in shingle form to ASTM D3462-83, amends ASTM D3161-81 covering asphalt roofing in shingle form and provides modified test methods for wind resistance of asphalt shingles to incorporate additional wind gust velocities in accordance with the wind zone requirements of NZS 4203:1984
