Description

Verification Method G12/VM1 provides a means of compliance with Building Code Clause G12 Water Supplies. Building Code Clause G12 requires the safe supply, storage, reticulation and delivery of hot and cold water.

The loading unit method of the Plumbing Engineering Services Design Guide is a means of establishing maximum simultaneous flow rates for use in sizing hot and cold water supply systems to comply with NZBC clause G12.

Scope

The application of the loading unit method referenced in Verification Method G12/VM1 to the sizing of hot and cold water services requires the application of specialist knowledge, experience and judgment.

Note: Previous amendments to G12/VM1 referenced earlier editions of AS/NZS 3500.1 and AS/NZS 3500.4. These standards are now referenced in G12/AS3.
