Description
NelsonPine P 11 is an H1.2 treated engineered wood product consisting of radiata pine veneers laminated together to produce structural framing materials. Feedstock is structural NelsonPine LVL subsequently secondary bonded into a thicker product using PUR adhesive.
NelsonPine P 11 is intended for use as internal framing structural components such as studs, joists, rafters, beams, lintels and columns. NelsonPine P 11 is also intended for use as a substitute for solid sawn timber in plasterboard protected fire rated systems.
Scope
1. NelsonPine P 11 is certified for use as structural components in the design of buildings:
- a) by a Chartered Professional Engineer with:
- i. structural design actions determined in accordance with B1/VM1, and
- ii. the design characteristic values in accordance with the Nelson Pine Specific Engineering Design Guide V4.0 September 2025, or
- b) in accordance with NZS 3604:2011 where:
- i. NelsonPine P 11 structural members may be substituted for SG6, SG8 or SG10 members in accordance with NZS3604 para 2.3.9.5, or
- ii. NelsonPine P 11 lintels may be substituted for plywood box lintels and GL8 and GL10 Glued Laminated Timber lintels in accordance with NZS3604 Tables 16.1 and 16.2 and;
- c) in applications described in Tables 1, 2, & 3 of NZS 3602:2003 as modified by the Building Products Specifications referenced by Acceptable Solution B2/AS1 for radiata pine products where the hazard class of the exposure and service conditions where the structural component is located is H1.2 or less.
2. NelsonPine P 11 is certified for use as a direct substitute for sawn SG6, SG8 or SG10 solid timber of the same dimensions in plasterboard protected fire rated timber framed systems.
3. NelsonPine P 11 is only certified for use in edgewise or axial orientation with the glue planes aligned vertically.
