Description

IBS FIBRE® CTU is a base for laying ceramic tiles over a timber floor or reconstituted wood-based substrates and as an internal wall lining.

IBS FIBRE® WAB is an internal wall and ceiling lining in wet and dry areas and may also be used as a substrate for ceramic tiles.

For floors, it is designed for installation over timber or reconstituted wood-based substrates; wall applications do not require a timber substrate.
IBS FIBRE® Groove is an internal wall and ceiling lining in dry areas and areas subject to occasional splashes.

IBS FIBRE® CTU is a 6mm thick autoclaved cellulose fibre-reinforced cement sheet available in the following sizes: 900mm (w) or 1200mm (w) and 1800mm (l).

IBS FIBRE® WAB is a 9mm thick autoclaved cellulose fibre-reinforced cement sheet available in the following sizes: 1200 mm (w) x 2400 mm or 2700 mm (l).

IBS FIBRE® Groove is an autoclaved cellulose fibre-reinforced cement sheet 7.5mm thick with a 2.5mm deep, 5 mm wide V-shaped groove at 100 mm centres along the sheet length. Sheets are 1200 mm (w) x 2400mm or 2700mm (l).

Scope

1. IBS FIBRE® CTU, IBS FIBRE® Groove and IBS FIBRE® WAB, have been certified for the uses set out above, subject with the design and installation guides (refer to Condition 2. below) and subject to the following conditions:

• a. In applications where a Material Group Number is required (clause C3.4(a)), IBS FIBRE® CTU, IBS FIBRE® Groove and IBS FIBRE® WAB shall be at least 9mm thick and;
• b. In wet areas IBS FIBRE® WAB shall be at least 9mm thick and coated with water resistant paint or tiles and;
• c. In areas adjacent to food preparation IBS FIBRE® WAB shall be at least 9mm thick and coated with water resistant paint or tiles. and
• d. IBS FIBRE® Groove is excluded from use in areas adjacent to food preparation

2. IBS FIBRE® CTU, IBS FIBRE® Groove and IBS FIBRE® WAB shall be installed in accordance with the installation instructions for the uses in Condition 1 in the following documents:
