Viking Enviroclad Sure-Weld TPO Waterproofing Membrane is single ply, polyester fabric reinforced, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) waterproofing sheet membrane, available in white and grey and supplied in rolls:

• 1.14 mm thick
  • 2.44 m / 3.0 m / 3.66 m / 4.88 m wide x 30.4 m long
• 1.52 mm thick
  • 2.44 m / 3.0 m / 3.66 m / 4.88 m wide x 30.4 m long
• 2.52 mm thick FleeceBack
  • 3.6 m wide x 30.4 m long
• 2.92 mm thick FleeceBack RL
  • 3.05 m wide x 30.4 m long

Viking Roofspec also supplies Enviroclad TPO in Slate Gray, Medium Bronze, Rock Brown, Patina Green, and Ironsand, available in 1.52 mm thick, 3.0 m wide × 30.4 m long rolls only.

Viking Enviroclad Sure-Weld TPO Waterproofing Membrane is an adhesive bonded or mechanically fixed waterproof membrane for roofs, decks, parapets and gutters.

It may also be installed on a cold roof with insulation installed below the substrate or as a warm roof with insulation installed above the substrate.

Scope

1. Viking Enviroclad Sure-Weld TPO Waterproofing Membrane is certified for use on buildings:

• a. where the sub-structure is:
  • i. timber designed in accordance with NZS3604 as a light roof, or;
  • ii. concrete or other specifically designed sub-structure designed in accordance with B1/VM1, and;
• b. situated:
  • i. in Wind Zones, up to, and including Extra High (as defined in NZS 3604), and within the scope limitations of E2/AS1 para 1.1.1.1 with regards to building height, or;
  • ii. in wind pressures up to a maximum design differential ultimate limit state (ULS) of:
    • a) 6.5 kPa when fully bonded or;
    • b) 2.7 kPa when fixed using either of the mechanical fastening methods (HP-X Fasteners and Piranha Plates or Rhino Bond System), and;
  • iii. in any exposure zone (as defined in NZS3604) except microclimates; and
• c. with substrates of;
  • i. plywood, or;
  • ii. suspended concrete slab, or;
  • iii. glass tissue faced PIR insulation (Kingspan Therma TR27), or;
  • iv. Fibreglass faced DensDeck Prime Coverboard (6.4 mm minimum), or;
  • v. Carlisle SecurShield HD RapidLock Coverboard (13 mm), and;
• d. where the roof or deck is pitched or nominally flat (minimum fall 1:80) and gutters have a minimum fall of 1:100.

2.Viking Enviroclad “Sure-Weld TPO” Waterproofing Membrane shall:

• a. be designed and installed in accordance with the Viking Enviroclad Applicator Handbook VK Edition V4 2024 and Details, and;
• b. be installed by Viking Approved Applicator or Approved installer (see https://www.vikingroofspec.co.nz/find-an-applicator/ to find an approved installer), and;
• c. be protected where the membrane is subject to pedestrian traffic other than for installation and general maintenance, and;
• d. be separated or protected from heat sources such as fireplaces, heating appliances and chimneys.

3. This certification does not cover:

• a. the design and construction of the substrate and movement / control joints;
• b. the weather tightness design of junctions between building elements on specifically designed buildings;
• c. applications where ancillary components other than those provided by Viking Roofspec Limited listed in the installation manual are substituted with alternative products;
• d. PIR insulation incorporated into warm roof construction.

4. Installation of PIR and rigid coverboard systems shall be in accordance with Holmes Solutions Engineering Report 144942.00 RP 1129 (v1.4) and RB03 Technical Document. Mechanical fastening via RhinoBond system (VWR005/VWR006 plates with Carlisle HP-X or HD14-10 fasteners and EJOT EcoTek plastic washers) verified for maximum 2.7 kPa ULS wind pressure.

5. RapidLock systems (SecurShield HD RL board + FleeceBACK RL membrane) shall use proprietary hook-and-loop attachment method only.
