Description

NSL CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro Structural Timber) is kiln-dried solid timber treated with Protim Micro in structural grades SG6, SG8, SG10 and SG12.

It is available in standard sawn sizes (25, 40, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 mm) and to customer sizing on request. Solid timber cavity batten and castellated cavity batten are also manufactured in prescribed profiles.

Each length of timber is branded "CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro MCA", and marked with the nominal dimension (eg 140 x 45) structural grade (eg SG8), treatment plant code and treatment type and hazard class (H3.2), and branded with the CodeMark mark of conformity and number CMNZ70136.

NSL CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro Structural Timber is intended for use as a structural component in buildings in applications where the hazard class of the exposure and service conditions where the component is located is H3.2 or less (as defined in NZS3640 Table 3.1).

Scope

1. NSL CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro Structural Timber is certified for use in buildings:

• a) as specified in NZS3604:2011 or
• b) as specified by engineering design in accordance with B1/VM1 and referenced standards AS/NZS 1170 and NZS3603:1993, and
• c) where the hazard class of the exposure and service conditions where the component is located is H3.2 or less (as defined in NZS3640 Table 3.1), and
• d) the use is in accordance with the marked stress grade.

2. NSL CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro Structural Timber shall be used in accordance with the CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro Installation Manual V1.1, February 2023.

3. NSL CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro Structural Timber Cavity Battens shall not be in direct contact with metal wall cladding.

4. Steel fixings and fasteners in contact with NSL CodeRight Dryframe Protim Micro Structural Timber shall be in accordance with NZS3604:2011 Tables 4.1 and 4.3, and shall be a minimum of:

• a) Type 304 stainless steel where used in Exposed or Sheltered locations (as defined in NZS3604:2011) or
• b) Hot-dipped galvanised steel for all other locations.
