Description
Bayonet BayoWrap Wall Underlay is manufactured from micro-porous water-resistant film laminated to two layers of non-woven spun-bonded polypropylene and is coloured white.
The product is supplied in rolls 1.37 m wide x 36.5 and 73 m long and 2.74 m wide x 18.5 and 36.5 m long. The product is printed with the Bayonet logo repeated along the length of the roll.
Bayonet BayoWrap Wall Underlay is a flexible underlay for use under wall claddings as well as over rigid barriers including areas where it is exposed to view in occupied spaces.
It can also be used to provide a degree of temporary weather protection.
Scope
1. Bayonet BayoWrap Wall Underlay is certified for use as a flexible wall underlay including installation over a rigid wall underlay on buildings:
- a. Within the scope limitations of NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Paragraph 1.1 for timber-framed buildings; or
- b. the scope limitations of NASH Building Envelope Solutions, Paragraph 1.1 for steel-framed buildings; and
- c. with direct fixed non-absorbent wall claddings (except when over a rigid wall underlay); or
- d. with absorbent and non-absorbent wall claddings installed over an 18 mm minimum drained cavity; or
- e. with masonry veneer in accordance with NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 for timber-framed buildings or to NASH Building Envelope Solutions for steel-framed buildings; and,
- f. situated in NZS 3604 Wind Zones up to, and including, Very High or Extra High (when over a rigid wall underlay).
2. Bayonet BayoWrap Wall Underlay shall be:
- a. installed in accordance with the Bayonet BayoWrap Wall Product Technical Statement & Installation Guide November 2022, and
- b. separated from fireplaces, heating appliances, flues and chimneys in accordance with the requirements of NZBC Acceptable Solutions C/AS1 and C/AS2, Paragraph 7.5.9 for the protection of combustible materials.
3. Bayonet BayoWrap Wall Underlay shall not be exposed to the weather or UV light for more than 90 day.
