Description
Secura™ Flooring is a structural lightweight fibre cement composite panel which is a 19mm thick, 2400mm long and 600mm wide with thick tongue and groove along the long edge of the panel.
Secura™ Flooring can be used as a sheet flooring material and structural floor diaphragm over timber or steel joists for general residential and commercial flooring applications and is suitable for both dry and wet area.
Scope
1. When used as structural floor diaphragm on suspended timber-framed floor, the floor must be designed in accordance with section 7 of NZS3604:2011 “Timber-framed buildings”
2. When used as structural floor diaphragm on suspended Steel-framed floor, the floor must be designed in accordance with sections 5.5 and 8 of NASH Standard Part Two:2019 ‘Light Steel Framed Buildings’ with floor joist made of 0.75-1.9mm base metal thickness steel.
3. When used as a sheet flooring material on a timber-frame or steel-framed floor in a building subject to specific engineering design (SED) with, loads as specified under Table 3.1, (Category A or B) of AS/NZS 1170.1 ‘Structural Design Actions –Permanent, Imposed and Other Actions’ not exceeding:
- a. uniformly distributed loads up to 3kPa (UDL) and
- b. concentrated loads up to 2.7kN.
4. In all cases, 45mm wide or greater floor joist at maximum 400mm centres must be used.
5. When steel joists are used, they must be made of 0.75-1.9mm base metal thickness steel.
6. Secura™ Flooring must be installed in accordance with Secura™ Flooring Installation Manual – February 2025.
7. Secura™ Flooring must not be used in situations where in continuous contact with ground moisture.
