Niagara Treated Cavity Battens are intended to be used as battens in external wall application to help form the drainage cavity.

Niagara Treated Cavity Battens are 44mm by 20mm, finger jointed, Vacsol® Azure treated radiata pine cavity battens for use where Hazard Class H3.2 or less applies.

Scope

1. Niagara Treated Cavity Battens suitable for use in drained cavities complying with either:

  • a. 9.1.8 of E2/AS1 third edition, Amendment 10 dated 5 November 2020; or
  • b. 9.1.8 of NASH Building envelope solution: 2019- Light Steel Framed Buildings.

2. Niagara Treated Cavity Battens must be used vertically.

3. The fixings for the cladding must be through the Niagara Treated Cavity Battens to the framing.
