Description
The INDURACORE G2 external cladding system has been certified as an external wall cladding & as an internal lining on buildings (except located adjacent to sanitary features or sanitary appliances; or where it is likely to be splashed or become contaminated during use; or behind cooking appliances).
The INDURACORE G2 external cladding system consists of INDURACORE G2 panels which are 4mm thick laminated Aluminium panels installed using either a Top Hat or Z-angle fixing system. Standard panel sizes include width of 1,250mm & 1,500m and length of 2,500mm, 3,200mm & 4,000mm. Custom panel sizes are available up to 1,500mm x 8,000mm.
Scope
1. The INDURACORE G2 external cladding system is certified for use as an external wall cladding on buildings:
- a. within the scope limitations of the NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, third edition, Amendment 10, 5 November 2020, Paragraph 1.1, with a risk score of up to 20, calculated in accordance with the NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Table 2; for all Wind Zones up to, and including Extra High (as defined in NZS 3604:2011) provided that:
- i. A rigid air barrier is used when located in an Extra High Wind Zone, or
- ii. Either a flexible building wrap or rigid air barrier in wind zones other than Extra High, and
- b. with timber framing or lightweight steel framing that complies with the NZ Building Code or where the designer and/or installer have assured themselves that the existing building is suitable for the intended building work for a specific wind pressure up to a maximum ULS of 2.5 kPa and SLS of 1.5 kPa with a deflection limit of L/250; and
- c. of Importance Levels 1 to 2, and
- d. in all Exposure Zones (except for microclimates) as defined in NZS3604:2011 paragraph 4.2.4, provided all fixings are in accordance with section 4 of NZS3604:2011, and
- e. with aluminium window and door joinery that meets the requirements of NZS 4211:2008 or has a current Product Certificate or with traditional timber joinery as set out in BRANZ bulletin BU658, dimensioned for the wind pressure considered, and
- f. located anywhere with respect to a relevant boundary (including within 1m)
2. The INDURACORE G2 external cladding system is certified for use as an internal wall lining in buildings:
- a. of Importance Levels 1 to 2 and
- b. in any area of the building, and
- c. with or without an automatic fire sprinkler system,
3. The INDURACORE G2 external cladding system must be specified, installed and maintained in accordance with the following documentation referenced as the applicable technical literature:
- a. INDURACORE G2 Technical Manual v2.1, and
- b. INDURACORE G2 Top Hat System - Installation Manual, v2.0, and
- c. INDURACORE G2 Z-angle Fixing System - Installation Manual, v2.0, and
- d. INDURACORE G2 Warranty & Maintenance Guide v1.3;
4. System specification and installation must be carried out by or supervised by a Licensed Building Practitioner who has:
- a. The relevant license class, and
- b. Access to current INDURACORE technical documentation, and
5. The designer shall provide a signed Declaration for submission with the building consent application that the use of this product in the proposed building work falls within the scope of this certificate and that all design conditions of this certificate have been met.
