Description
Katana Piles are designed to achieve nominal strengths of 80kN, 100kN, 150kN and 200kN through the engineered combination of their constituent structural steel components, including the square drive head, shaft, helix, and cutting comb.
Katana Piles are available in lengths of 1m to 4m (in 0.5m increments), with extension, connector and accessories provided as required to suit CPEng’s design and/or specific on-site conditions.
Scope
Katana Pile 80kN, 100kN, 150kN and 200kN Series are commonly used across all seven categories of Clause A1 – Classified Uses to transfer structural loads from concrete slabs to suitable subsurface layers at varying depths.
Screw piles are typically specified where high design loads must be supported, in deep fill or reactive soils, in areas prone to soil collapse, or on projects requiring rapid construction with minimal site disturbance.
All pile loadings, layout, and depth detailing are the responsibility of a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualified to design and/or supervise the foundation system, based on the geotechnical information for the specific site.
