Superhouse aluminium windows are the window products made up of aluminium alloy joinery fitted with insulated glass units (IGUs) and providing thermal break. Products include Aluminium Awning Window.
Product Model: SPN56T Aluminium Awning Window.
Scope
1. Superhouse aluminium windows are certified for use in buildings:
- a) within the scope of Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 Fourth Edition (28 July 2025) paragraphs 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.3 and
- b) with cladding and details as described in Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 Fourth Edition (28 July 2025),
- c) located in:
- i) Wind zones (as defined in NZS 3604:2011 Timber framed buildings) for each model as follows:
- SPN56T Aluminium Awning Window - up to and including Very High
- ii) all Exposure Zones, except microclimates, (as defined in NZS 3604:2011 Timber framed buildings)
- iii) All Climate Zones.
- i) Wind zones (as defined in NZS 3604:2011 Timber framed buildings) for each model as follows:
2. Superhouse aluminium windows are not certified for use in buildings identified in Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 Fourth Edition (28 July 2025) paragraphs 1.1.2 (items outside the scope of E2/AS1 Fourth Edition, 28 July 2025).
3. The following model of Superhouse aluminium windows is certified for use in the building envelope enclosing spaces where the temperature or humidity (or both) is modified:

4. Compliance with the performance criteria in Building Code clauses H1.3.1(a) and H1.3.1E shall be established using the calculated R-values as identified in the "Supporting information about description" section and the following methods:
- a) For all housing and buildings up to 300 sqm:
- i) the calculation method (H1/AS1 para 2.1.2) for all Climate Zones, or
- ii) the modelling method (H1/VM1 para 2.2) for all Climate Zones
- b) For buildings greater than 300 sqm:
- i) the calculation method (H1/AS2 para 2.1.2) for all Climate Zones, or
- ii) the modelling method (H1/VM2 para 2.2) for all Climate Zones.
5. Compliance with the performance criteria in Building Code clauses F2.3.2 and F2.3.3 shall be established in accordance with Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods for New Zealand Building Code Clause F2 Hazardous building materials First edition, Amendment 3, (1 January 2017).
6. Compliance with the performance criteria in Building Code clauses G4.3.1 and G4.3.3 shall be established in accordance with Acceptable Solution G4/AS1 Fifth edition (28 July 2025).
7. Compliance with the performance criteria in Building Code clauses G7.3.1 and G7.3.2 shall be established in accordance with Acceptable Solutions G7/AS1, Second edition (29 November 2021) and G/AS2 First edition (29 November 2021).
8. Superhouse aluminium window shall be installed in accordance with the Shanghai Superhouse Building Material Co., Ltd - Installation Manual, version 8 - dated: 3 July 2026.
9. This product is not certified for use where there are fire rating requirements.
