Description
COLORSTEEL® Endura® DRIDEX® and COLORSTEEL® Maxx® DRIDEX® are ZINCALUME® coated steel substrates to which a COLORSTEEL® prepainted finish system is applied and an absorbent CondenStop fleece applied to the backer coating.
Scope
1. This Certificate applies to COLORSTEEL® Endura® DRIDEX® and COLORSTEEL® Maxx® DRIDEX® supplied for roof cladding only.
2. Roofs should be designed and installed in accordance with the Profiled Metal Roofing Code of Practice Version 3
August 2019.
3. The profiles and minimum roof pitch for roof cladding shall be as specified in Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 (Amendment 9, Effective 27 June 2019) paras 8.4.4 (a and b) and 8.4.5 (a and b).
4. Roofing underlay must not be used.
5. The lower ends of trapezoidal and trough profile roofing shall be turned down at the gutters where pitch is less
than 10 degrees.

7. When used on a skillion roof, the following additional limitations apply:
- a) There must be provision for unimpeded air movement under the roof from eaves to apex. Transverse flashings (ridge and apron flashings) must be ventilated, using ventilated softedge, or a proprietary ventilating ridge system.
- b) Electrical wiring must be sealed where it penetrates the ceiling. Any recessed downlights must be rated CA or ICF, and be fully enclosed in a lined recess or be sealed at ceiling level.
- c) Permeable ceilings such as T&G timber must be installed over an air barrier. A flexible wall underlay meeting the air barrier requirements of Table 23 of E2/AS1 (Amendment 9, Effective 27 June 2019) is a suitable air barrier provided the joints are taped.
