Description
This standard provides a specification for dimensional and quantity tolerances for steel drop and press forgings and for upset forgings made on horizontal forging machines. It describes dimensional tolerance grades; categories of dimensional tolerances; quantity tolerances; design procedure; tables of dimensional tolerances covering normal and close tolerances for length, width, height, thickness, ejector marks, straightness, flatness, fillet, edge radii and burrs. Two series of tables for the above use when specifying dimensional tolerances in British or metric units and a table of quantity tolerances.
