Description
This standard sets out a method for the sampling and analysis of inspirable dust in workplace atmospheres. This method is used to assess personal exposure by sampling of a worker's zone. While the method allows only for personal sampling, it can be used to assist in controlling the occupational environment by means of fixed position (i.e. static) samples. The method complements AS 2985.
Scope
This Standard sets out a gravimetric method for the collection and determination of inspirable dust in workplace atmospheres. It does not consider the measurement of 'respirable' dust.
