Description
This Standard relates to fixed and flued domestic-type oil burning appliances of all types irrespective of the function of the appliance or the type of its burner, but not normally over 60 kW energy input rate. It deals with the appliance only as a manufactured item and does not cover any matters of installation (see AS 1691).
Scope
These rules (hereinafter referred to as 'this Code') apply to the safe design, construction and performance of fixed and flued domestic-type oil burning appliances of all types irrespective of the function of the appliance or the type of burner.
This Code does not deal with flueless or portable appliances, nor with the installation of the appliances. The Code includes such test methods as may be necessary to identify those appliances that comply with this Code.
Notes:
- The appliances envisaged are not normally over 60 kW energy input rate.
