Description
This Standard specifies requirements for four grades of 7-wire, stress-relieved, high-tensile steel strand, intended for the prestressing of concrete.
Scope
The four grades of the 7-wire strand are as follows:
- Regular, in either normal or low relaxation.
- Super, in either normal or low relaxation.
- Extra-high tensile, in either normal or low relaxation.
- Compact, in low relaxation only.
This Standard provides for Regular, Super and Extra-high Tensile grades to be constructed with either plain or indented outer wires.
