Description

- situated in NZS 3604 Wind Zones up to, and including Very High'; and,
- with a building height of ≤10 m and at a distance of ≥1.0 m to the relevant boundary.

Note: The use of Shadowclad® Direct Fixed Cladding System for the construction of new buildings where Shadowclad® is purchased for projects that were lodged for council consent on or after 01 March 2021 is not supported by the manufacturer, is outside the scope of their Technical Literature, and is therefore outside the scope of this Appraisal. Construction of new buildings using Shadowclad® Direct Fixed shall be the subject of specific design.
The manufacturer recommends the use of Shadowclad® Ventilated Cavity Cladding System (BRANZ Appraisal No. 764) for all new build construction, as a more resilient design solution.
The Shadowclad® Direct Fixed Cladding System is suitable for repair and replacement of existing direct fixed Shadowclad installations, or alterations to existing cladding that is of a minor nature only. For more information on the use of Shadowclad® Direct Fixed Cladding System, refer to CHH Ply Information Bulletins and the Technical Literature.
