Description

This Standatd sets out requirements for corrugated cellulose-cement sheets for use primarily as roofing and wall cladding. It applies to auto-claved sheets in which the cement is partially replaced by ground silica.

Appendices provide means for demonstrating compliance with this Standard and methods of test for determination of strength, water-tightness, and resistance to hot water soaking of corrugated cellulose-cement sheets.

Scope

This Standard covers sheets that are finished with one of the following:

  • (a) Their natural colour;
  • (b) Colouring matter added to their composition;
  • (c) Coloured or uncoloured adherent coatings on their surfaces.

This Standard does not apply to asbestos-fibre-reinforced sheets.
