Description
This determination considers the authority’s decision to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for a building consent for a dwelling with monolithic cladding.
The authority raised concerns including in regards to Building Code clauses E2 External Moisture and B2 Durability.
Decision:
In accordance with section 188 of the Building Act 2004, it was determined that the building work did not comply with the Building Code that was in force at the time building consent BC0147761 was granted on 16 January 2001. The authority’s decision to refuse to issue the code compliance certificate is confirmed.
