This European Standard, a part of the BS EN 13501 series, provides the procedure for the reaction to fire classification for construction products, including products incorporated within building elements.

Products are considered in relation to their end use application.

This standard applies to two categories, which are treated separately in the document: construction products, excluding floorings; floorings.

Annexes to this standard provide information on the application of the Commission Decision of 8 February 2000 implementing Council Directive 89/106/EEC as regards the classification of the reaction to fire performane of construction products, and a reaction to fire classification report.
