Building Code Clause G11 Gas as an energy source requires the safe installation of gas-fuelled appliances. In buildings where gas is used as an energy source, the supply system shall be safe and adequate for its intended use. Supply systems must maintain safe pressure, ventilation and flues. They must have automatic cut-off devices, allow for maintenance, and be installed to avoid contamination and adverse effects. Meters and service risers must meet requirements of network utility operators.
