Description
This is the precedent Building Act of 1991 to the Building Act 2004. It was the primary legislation governing the building industry and empowered the Building Regulations 1992 (now known as the BUilding Code). Its aim was to improve control of and encourage better practices in building design and construction to provide greater assurance to consumers.
