Description
This Standard describes requirements for rubber-covered, spiral wire reinforced hydraulic hoses for use with petroleum and water-based fluids within a temperature range of -40 degree C to +100 degree C for types 1 to 5 inclusive and -40 degree C to +121 degree C for types 6 and 7.
Scope
This Standard does not include requirements for end fittings.
It covers normative references, types, materials and construction, dimensions, hydrostatic requirements, minimum bend radius and change in length at design working pressure, tolerance on hose length, impulse test requirements, leakage, cold flexibility requirements, oil resistance, ozone resistance, adhesion between components and marking.
