Description

This Standard describes procedures for determining the performance of actuating devices.

Scope

This Standard sets out the method for testing the ability of the actuating devices to withstand without damage transient voltages of short duration but of relatively high peak values. (See performance requirements in the appropriate device Standard.) NOTE: General guidance on impulse voltage testing is given in AS 2481.
