This standard sets out requirements for the installation of automatic sprinkler systems in buildings.

This Standard covers classes of system and design data, installation, water supplies, spacing and location of sprinklers, sprinklers and their sprayers and controls, pipework, valves and ancillary equipment, and hazard class system requirements, and includes appendices dealing with orifice plates, fully hydraulically calculated extra high hazard class systems, the completion certificate, terminology applied to pipework, and parameters for fully hydraulically calculated extra light and ordinary hazard class systems.
