Description
This Standard is a revision of NZS 4402 Part 1:1980, Soil classification and , chemical tests and NZS 4402 Part 2P:1981, Soil compaction and denjsity tests. This revision does not differ greatly from the previous Part 1 and Part 2P, the preparation of which was basend on BS 1377:1975, Methods for test of soils for civil engineering purposes.
The number of ambiguities in the previous Standard have been removed and corrections made to formulae. Additional tests to Parts 4 and 6 have been included.
