This Standard sets out requirements for the safe transport of hazardous substances on land.

Covers the classification of hazardous substances, labelling and marking requirements of packages, containers and vehicles, packaging of hazardous substances, carriage in bulk of liquids and liquified gases, stowage and compatibilities, documentation and transport procedures.

Also includes lists of hazardous substances, a glossary of packagings and the responsibilities of the various parties in the transport chain. Colour chart and segregation wheel included. Reprinted to incorporate Amendment 1:2001.
