Description
Acceptable Solution G11/AS1 provides a means of compliance with Building Code Clause G11 Gas as an Energy Source. Clause G11 requires the safe installation of gas-fuelled appliances.
In buildings where gas is used as an energy source, the supply system shall be safe and adequate for its intended use. Supply systems must maintain safe pressure, ventilation and flues.
They must have automatic cut-off devices, allow for maintenance, and be installed to avoid contamination and adverse effects.
Meters and service risers must meet requirements of network utility operators.

This Acceptable Solution relates essentially to gas appliances. It should be read in conjunction with G10/AS1, which deals with piping reticulation
