New fire regulations recently passed into law. These apply and should be of interest to building tenants and owners.
On 1 July 2018, the Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fire Safety, Evacuation Procedures, and Evacuation Schemes) Regulations 2018 came into force. While most people associate the New Zealand Building Code with building regulatory requirements, there are also requirements in this legislation that are important for owners and tenants of buildings.
