Description
This Standard specifies general safety requirements for approval and test purposes for shaver transformers.
This Standard is an adoption with national modifications and contains the full text of IEC 61558-2-5:1997.
Scope
This part 2-5 of IEC 61558 applies to shaver transformers for embodiment into shaver supply units. These transformers are single phase air cooled isolating transformers, having a rated supply voltage not exceeding 250 V a.c., a rated output not less than 20 VA and not exceeding 50 VA, a rated output voltage not exceeding 250 V, and a rated frequency not exceeding 500 Hz.
