Description
This determination arises from the decision of the authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for a 1-year-old house unless changes were made to roof flashings which did not comply with the building consent issued for the house.
The authority was not satisfied that the roof complies with certain clauses of the Building Code.
The matter to be determined is therefore whether the authority correctly exercised its powers in refusing to issue the code compliance certificate.
In making this decision, consideration must be given to whether the ridge flashings as installed to the roof of this house comply with Clause B2 Durability and Clause E2 External Moisture of the Building Code.
