Description

This determination arises from the decision of the authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for the house. The refusal arose because the authority was not satisfied the building work complies with the following clauses of the Building Code: Clause B1 in respect of the roof/wall connections, and Clause E2 in respect of window flashings.

The matter to be determined is therefore whether the authority was correct in its decision to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate. In making the decision, consideration was given to the compliance of the building work with respect to Clause B1 in regards to the roof/wall junction, and Clause E2 in regards to the weathertightness of the exterior joinery.
