Description

This determination rises from the decision of the authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate because it is not satisfied the building work complies with the Building Code.

The matters to be determined, in terms of sections 177(a) and 177(b) of the Act, are:

1- Whether the claddings as installed on the building comply with Building Code Clause B2 'Durability' and Clause E2 'External Moisture';

2- Whether the building work complies with Building Code Clause B2 Durability, taking into account the age of the building work.
