This determination arises from the decision of the territorial authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for 10-year-old additions to a house because it was not satisfied that the cladding applied to the additions complied with the Building Code. The matters for determination are whether the claddings as installed to the addition, complies with clauses B2 and E2, and whether the elements that make up the building work comply with clause B2 'Durability' of the Building Code, taking into account the age of the building work.
