This learning module is an introduction to the Building Code clause A. Designed to help understanding the classification of buildings and the building importance levels.

This module was created for the benefit of General public, homeowners, designers, architects, BCAs.

When reading the Building Code, the A clauses provide general provisions for understanding how buildings are categorised  into their ‘classified use’, provides definitions and sets out the building importance levels.  These are important as they are used to identify where parts of the Building Code apply.
