Description
This Standard specifies general safety requirements for approval and test purposes for shaver transformers.
Adopted from, and includes the text of, IEC 61558-2-5 Ed 2 with national modifications.
Scope
This part 2-5 of IEC 61558 deals with the safety of shaver transformers, power supply units incorporating a shaver transformer, and shaver supply units.
Shaver transformers incorporating electronic circuits are also covered by this standard.
Safety includes electrical, thermal, mechanical and chemical aspects.
