Description

This Standard describes procedures for evaluating structural properties of graded timber and verifying accuracy of specific grading techniques.

This Standard also specifies requirements for resolving doubts concerning the specified design properties of particular populations of graded timber.

Scope

This Standard is suitable for application to both permissible stress and limit states design codes. Method for random selection of specimen location is provided in Appendix A. Methods for using data obtained from non-standard evaluation procedures are described in Appendix B.
